I am looking at getting a different combine and have been looking at 6620/7720's. I have come across 2 8820's in good shape, fairly low houred for a good price. I don't want to go with a bigger corn head than 6 row I have and I was wondering if a 6 row corn head will keep an 8820 full at a reasonable speed or should I scrap that idea. I'm only running 200 acres plus a little custom work. I've tried searching out the area for someone to custom harvest but nobody really seems interested.

So is it reasonable to want to run a 643/920 on an 8820 or not? Corn anywhere from 125 - 175/acre and Beans 30-60/acre

After reading the first post last night I decided to call on the one that is newer, closer and has less hours on it. The guy is currently running a 643 corn head on it so I guess that would have answered my question right there.
