I have a 4895 swather with 18 foot 896 header. It keeps breaking the bolts off that hold the wobble boxes on. We have replaced everything with new parts from wobble boxes to the belts to the cutterbars. No matter what we try cutting the bolts last about two hours then break. We also follow all torque specs when putting the bolts back in. Anybody have any ideas what could be causing this problem.

I used to run 2 of them and didnt have many issues with that but is your wobble box in good shape ? bearings ,crankshaft ? Maybe try heavier bolts ? Something must be out of time to cause the bolts to break so easy. My old heads were 895's but 896 is the same just a little newer. Did you know that the wobble box from a 930 wheat head will work on them also and lots cheaper. Make sure all you bolts are tight on all mounting sheet iron too.
