I'm looking at a 9560 that currently has duals on it. Need to stay with a 6 row corn head and would like to go with 900's (35.5's) but I'm being told JD doesn't recommend these on this machine. Final drive issues? Who's running them and have you had a problem? If I decide to do this, what are the duals, spacers and ladder ext. worth? They're 20.8x42's...2 are bascially new, other 2 around 70%. If I go to 800's they're saying don't put bin extensions on it. If I don't, my capacity will be less than my old machine. Hate to back up.
Obviously, the other option is leave the duals on, go to an 8 row head when planting 12. How's this working for those of you doing it?
Thanks.

have ran an 8 row head behind a 12 row planter for 12 years now and only this year did the customer acquire guidance systems on his plantin tractors. it works fine. once in awhile you will have a guess row thats a little wider or narrower than usual but not a big deal.
