Going to look at a 40ft 9250 for my R75. First question think it can handle the head? 2nd question what are some things i need to look for? I helped a friend cut wheat i ran his case 8240 it handled a macdon 40ft fd70 pretty well got me the itch to find a draper for my gleaner because our auger head is pretty well wore out

We had our 40ft 9250 on our 77 and it was good on it. Look at the wobble box mounts closely for cracks. The little hydraulic cylinders on the back of the header are prone to leaking and the flex arms can sieze up sometimes. We like ours it feeds good. The guy running it needs to pay attention and any vibration stop and look.

Check for straightness. Early ones had issues with leaking cylinders. I converted mine to the double bearing draper belt drive which made it a lot smoother. Yes cracking of stuff in the knife drive area. I find the belt drive cogs for the centre draper wear quickly. I would put new bearings in the draper rollers
