Are all current dynaflex reels the bat flip over design? If so when did they switch . I see older dynaflex heads with the 8000/8200 type reel. Are there advantages to the bat flip over. Does it wrap less in soybeans?
They can be converted to the old style instead of the flip over by changing the end plates. In our area and crops we couldn't get it to work well as a flip over reel. It was very sensitive to where it was positioned. It slobbered wheat constantly over the back of it and it grabbed the pea vines and would pull them over the top. Changing it to the old style solved our problems.
