What will it take to put a '95 model 893 corn on a new 9670? The newer machines have a different style hook mechanism at the top of the feeder house than the corn head does. The corn head already has been modified for contour master, and has no hydraulics to adapt to the single point hook up.

You can do a pretty crude job of it and make it work well if you wanted to. Just hook the header up and see how it all lines up. Cut off what ever is in your way and make a hole in two bits of flat steel and weld them on. You havent got any hydraulics to worry about, and you already have pto shafts on the header right?

I thought the new combines all can hook up to the older heads. The big clips just make it a little easier to grab on to the header.

I realize the drives might be different but those are easily gotten hold of
