Yes , we have a big problem with rotor loss.We have round bar concaves. The rotor speed is between 350 rpm to 400 rpm.The corn moister is 14%.The head is a 6row 3 feet. The corn gives 7 tons a Hector ( 112bu per acre)
I am n harvesting contractor from South Africa .We bout a new 9570 sts last year just before the corn season. The problem that we have is that it spills corn over the rotor on to the ground at the back of the harvester. We adjusted and played with the moving speed it just stade the same. This is a real problem for us as we are getting complaints from our customers.Do you guys have the same problem it so what did you do to correct it.
Thanks it helps a lot.the head that we have is a 649 JD head. The ground speed that we do is 6.5 mph. The tip that we got from JD south afrika was that we fit the rice concaves and remove every second wire from it. But we havent test it jet as we will only start haversting in june.yes it is defnetly rotor loss we did a power shat down to see.
