have a 3 year old 9560 that costs as much to run as my 10 year old 2366. has not run 5 days in a row since i have owned it without a service call or the book flashing on the screen. Put on 300 hours a year and its costing me $10,000 per year.Unload auger dosnt even have grease fittings but has the holes and sticker on a plate where they should be. instead it has a teflon ring.looking to trade my 2366 on a 9570 but are they just as bad? mayby I have a lemon

Going with a lemon.

Our 9660, runs like a champ. 8 row corn head rocks on it. 30 foot bean head eats beans like no other.

hickup,

Sounds like you should be trading the 9560. It sounds like lemon, $30,000 in 900 hours is bad.

Scroll down through the JD threads, I don't think you will see that kind of feedback on others 9570s.

we ran our 9560 for two years over about 4500 acres per year and replaced a $3 O-ring. didnt think that was too bad

hickup1 you must definatly have a lemon. We have a 9560sts thats 5 years old or so and we have been very pleased with it. We run 8 row corn head and 30ft flexhead with no major problems at all.

ended up buying a 5088 with draper head instead of the 9570 because of all the problems. Biggest disappointment was John deeres apathy and lack of response to the problems. Also found greenstar very confusing after running afs for so long. It wont let you enter farms in the combine. must be done in the house.mayby things will be better when it is time to trade the 9560. Just an aside when I bought the 9560 in the fall of 2007 with a flex and corn head the price was $265,000. 9570 now with the same heads equiped the same is$348,000. seems to be a little more than inflation. could be because they are sold out early the last 3 years

I don't want to say you got a bad deal on the 9560, but I bought a new fully loaded 09 9570 with heads and didn't pay near as much as you payed for your 9560.

then have to add 8 percent for canadian exchange and freight to eastern ontario. gps was another $6000 for mapping. so probably only discounting 12% off list. plus $12000 for air reel on flex head.

I would not deal with your JD dealer, either. He is too tough to deal with only discounting to 88%. Does not sound like he really wanted your business. Usually a 10% margin over cost is a general rule of thumb, but when they are not hungry.......
