Do all 9600's that are year model '92 and newer have 260HP engines or is it just the corn/bean models? What are the differences between small grain and corn/bean models? When looking at a '93 or '94 year model with around 2500 sep. hrs and 3500 eng. hrs., is there anything I need to pay special attention to? And after how many engine hrs. would you need to rebuild the engine?

Thanks Tom, how hard is it to turn up a small grain combine to have the same HP(260) as a Corn combine?

cheaper to get a programmer than to have the pump gone through and modified. It can be done, Im in process of turning up my pumps a bit by a diesel tech shop who specialize in pumps and injectors, both of my rigs are corn machines with 260 factory hp. and Im looking for about 15% increase.

I forgot to mention that I have a bully dog programmer for sale off my 9600 that I will no longer need after doing the pump mod. It will fit all 9600/10/50s with bosch pumps. It is the model with three selective HP settings with a toggle on the box unit. It takes about 2 minutes to install. You can see more on BUlly dog web site or shoup mfg where I bought it. It is only one season old and in perfect working condition. Im asking half the price of new.
