My father and I are considering upgrading from our 9610 to a 9770 sts. Our biggest question is about our current headers. We have a 853 all crop, 843 corn head, a 914 pick-up and we just purchased a 30 ft. MacDon Flex Draper. Will any of these heads work on the newer combines? Are any of these heads big enough for a 9770? Any other comments or suggestions would be appreciated.

The drive shafts on the feederhouse are also different. Depending on the header, the hooks where the header rests on the feederhouse may not line up. We made a 30' Honeybee draper work on ours, but it took some retooling, i think we did it for less than $500

We run a macdon fd70 and 894 corn head on 9770. Just curious, how much does it cost to convert gerringhoff, drago, and macdon from red to green or vice versa? I know those brands go on all colors but I heard one guy switching from red to green say he was better off trading heads than spending money on conversion kit for his macdon.

We are running an 843 on our 9660sts, the only thing we had to change was the the drive line, this can be with 2 new u joint crosses and a 1 3/8 21 spline (small 1000 rpm pto) parts that are easily available anywhere you get pto shaft parts. Our head is old enough there aren't any electric or hydraulic hookups though, if you need any of that lankota is a good source
