new member here. have a few questions about cr 940 just traded for 2006 have been running green combines since the 6600.traded in 2001 9650 sts. what would be a week point on this machine compared to the jd. my goal from this trade was to have a smaller parts bill the jd was killing me on parts $5000 this year and $7000 last year. what do you guys usually run.

you'll like the comfort. The 940 is underpowered for what it has. Big time cleaning area but little short on power. What size heads will you be running? Very nice combine and big steps forward in terms of technology vs the Deere. But still short on power some what. You'll like it. Where abouts are you from?

i,m on the southern tip of illnois 150 to 180 bushel corn 45 to 50 bushel beans. bought new 25 foot header and new 8 row header hoping to run 5 mile per hour with each. deere had 295 horsepower with same heads.

It'll play with the 25ft. I know of a guy in N.C. that runs a 35ft on his. It'll do 5mph in corn yes untill you unload on the go. If you do. Then it could have power problems.
