Hey, all. Have a '00 9650STS with ContourMaster and I need to replace the F.H. front wear plate, as it has a hole in it. PLEASE tell me there's an easier way to replace this plate than to remove the tilt frame (212 lbs), and then the tilt bar at the bottom (119 lbs) to get those six bolts out!! Just can't believe that they'd make it so that a 30 minute job could involve a hoist and a day to disassemble the front of the feederhouse!! Please tell me there's another way!!

good news and bad news,
you don't have to remove the tilt frame. however, you do have to remove the tilt beam on the bottom.
the large pin in the center is threaded on the inside. i have a 7/8" x 11" bolt that i screw in and pound it out the back

Thought I saw somewhere that the inner part of the pin was threaded for a M24 bolt. Also, do you drive the bolt out front to back? And re-install it back to front?

yes, screw the bolt in the front, and pound inward toward the combine.
and i guess that it could be a M24, i have pounded all of the markings off of the head and it measures real close to 7/8.
now that i think about it, it most likely is metric
