Has anyone out there compared capacity difference between these two, do they both run the 8.1 liter and what is the horse power difference if so?Also what is the bullet rotor update worth
Both have the 8.1L tier 1 engine. 9650 is 290 hp, 9750 325 hp. Other than horsepower they are virtually identical. I wouldn't waste money on the bullet rotor. It's a lot of coin for the performance gain. Just switch the elements instead. You can use Deere, Loewen, or PF elements.
Some of the early model year 50 series were found to have some high wear spots that were corrected later on. For sure the 2000 year were terrible, not sure on the 2001 models.
Chopper drives in particular were terrible.
Some of the 9750 were "canadian specials" and had the 12.5 liter engines and more hp. Also had some heavier drives. Not many of the specials were sold.
