Dont put any of them in, in wheat!

In barley (if you are to harvest that) then put in 2 rows of 5 covers, from the front of the seperator, left hand side. 2 rows of 5 covers meaning going from the top of the seperator to the "bottom"

But only put them in if you are loosing grain over the chaffer on the left hand side. Other than that, you should leave them out as it will cost capacity.

Just got a 9660 and wasn't sure if the grate covers would limit capacity or the book says they are used to load the chaffer uniformly? So what do you guys think? Oh I am going to be cutting wheat with a deere draper so let me know.

I would also try to harvest without them in. But there are conditions like dry, brittle straw that you will need them in to improve tank sample and ground speed.
