I am wanting advice on wether to use the the concave cover plates (green metal straps which wrap around the concave cage) on JD 9670. My dealer said they weren't necessary due to being in high rainfall area where we can usually keep the header full in 3-5t crops, however some other guys say you need them. Harvesting mostly wheat and barley.
hi ,I don't use any plates on my 9660/9670 here in south Africa and we had high yield three years in a row. some put the med concave first and the other two small wired concaves.it helps with the threshing.
