Use them often in wheat in high yield situations. Front two sections of front concave, middle section of second concave under tailings input.
9670 Concave Cover Plates
Hi,
I am wanting advice on wether to use the the concave cover plates (green metal straps which wrap around the concave cage) on JD 9670. My dealer said they weren't necessary due to being in high rainfall area where we can usually keep the header full in 3-5t crops, however some other guys say you need them. Harvesting mostly wheat and barley.
If recommended, whereabouts do you put them?
