Hey guys I am looking to add some hydraulic flow to our tractor. I talked to our service guy and he said they used to put a separate pump on these things with electric over hydraulic valve with just a switch in the cab. All it would be running is the fan on the air cart. I believe it was a atom jet pump? Then I talked to parts and they can no longer get the parts needed. Does anyone have this system or any sort of upgrade? Anyone know how I can upgrade this thing? We had a flow test done and it is putting out almost exactly 50 gpm at the moment. We are pulling 60' p2070 with 1060 cart, also 2150 gal liquid tank(no hydraulics on tank). If anyone has any thoughts or suggestions I would like to hear them. Thanks

Give Hypower in Saskatoon a call and see what they say, bet they have ran into this or know someone that would have.

if your 1060 cart is mechanical you have enough hyds
The cart has hydraulically driven rollers. It has worked the last few years but I plug more runs then I would like and I think this is part of the problem. Also when I pull drill out at headlands parts of it are still coming up as I am turning, same when I put it back in the ground I have to start putting it in ground before I am straightened out. Causing a little more wear then I would like.

Agree, but is this fifty gpm on remote ? then would be hi-flow kit installed, easy way to look is open l/h gull wing door, look right behind step inside of frame, there will be a aluminum block, with four or five hyd lines to it, behind engine r/h side there will be to priority valves, if so update was done, Scott.

Yes that valve on L/H side was leaking last year so it is definitely there. Is there anything else I can do Scott?

Thanks guys, I will phone that place in Saskatoon try them out.

Just to verify, do you have 2 priority valves on r/h side of engine, if so then you have hi-flow kit, you should also have tandem pump, back pump is the one that can be possibly updated, need to get the # off pump, normally there are stamped on flange where pump bolts on, Scott.

Isn`t the rear pump the steering pump? The Hi- Flo kit just takes excess flow from the steering circuit and dumps it into the remotes when there is hi demand. Didn`t know there was a pump upgrade involved on the 92 series.

May not work in this case but I had a 946 Versatile with single pump and Atom Jet looked into it and was able to make an internal pump adjustment making the current pump put out more GPM. I don't remember what was involved but net result was it changed the swashplate angle a bit and allowed for more oil to be pumped, I can't remember how much more but it was noticeable in our situation, this was many years ago though.

Steering pump is a stand alone system, orbit motor off steering wheel, tandem pump, front is a gear pump, rear is a piston pump, two total different systems. Scott.

Steering is supplied from the gear pump of the tandem pump, Hi-flow takes demand oil from this pump to gain GPM through the valve set up supplied in the hi flo kit. No pump changes.
