We are currently finishing up alfalfa seed harvest, and I had a question about lowering the chopper on a 9760.

We usually run both machines in the windrow position so we can burn the straw, but in seed to seed we like to chop and spread. Yesterday we had the loss down to 1.5 cc of seed per 16 sq. ft.. Which we considered acceptable (we check in the windrow position). When we lowered the chopper our tank sample got trashy with more curls and sticks.

My question is, what have you guys seen in changes to the air when running the chopper?

Thanks in advance!
