Just bought a 9760 and it has round bar concaves in it. Need to combine malt barley and wondering if I should get a set of small wire from Deere, a set of small write from shoup or abeline machine or run something like a set of aftermarket like the Howard. Really combine illiterate. Thanks for looking.

I have used the search function but I can't find anybody talking about barley. Usually wheat

You could try those concaves, I've used wide wire concaves to combine barley on different occasions and they worked better than the small wire. Though I'm not sure how much different round bar would be

Barley is very easy to thresh, unlike wheat. The round bar however may
not be enough. If you raise small grains, get a set of small wire concaves.

Surprised anyone is still combining barley, in North America, where are you
from ?
