Going through the 9770 at the moment. What sought of issues have people been finding on these machines? This one has done 1650 rotor hrs.

We go through the machines ourselves now after catching dealer out numerous times replacing unworn items. have a mate that use to work on sts's look over it.

so far we have done the throat elevator chain and top sprockets. reversed feed accelerator strips, reel pump brgs as they were knacked. welded up rotor gearbox frame and braced. replaced cge elevator chain and top sprocket. done all brgs on augers under rotor. anything else other people would recommend looking at?

There's a pressure sensor valve on the valve bank LHS of machine. It monitors rotor pressure, the resin perishes. Gave way on me last harvest, apparently common. Was unable to maintain rotor speed. Tell tale is hyd oil weep around valve stack.

The 70 series combines are famous for the conveyor auger front plate cracking out.

unload auger gear box is weak point check it for play. the rest you already covered, oh ya the clean grain elevator bearing on the bottom, replace it its not good quality and tends to give in.

thanks fellas. funny you mention bearing quality. I source ntn japan or skf when I can. usually cheaper than the made in china 'peer' john deere bearings!!

discharge beater bearings. i think ours went out around that timeline. the left side tends to pack up trash behind the pulley, and then grease if youve ever over greased it, and becomes a major fire hazard.

Rotor bearing, rotor fighting, check for hole on right side behind the feed accelerator in the rotor feed housing cast. Plastic rotor cover, shaker arms and eccentric bearings for sure
