I have a 9770 with a fixed speed feederhouse and a 635 hydraflex and a 615 pickup head. When I run my 635 wide open my combine shakes. My 615 runs smooth. Took the 635 in to the local JD and they ran it on a 680 and it worked fine with no shakes. We are all puzzled and looking for suggestions. Thanks

There are many updates on 635s after 2006. Some of which being better bracing on each end of the header. An S series might be less prone to shaking than a 70. I would first of all check and make sure your cutter bar is not broke on the left hand end, not the knife but the cutter bar. You can get the left and right hand update kits for these headers and if you can weld at all are straightforward to do and make a huge improvement. Even with the newer 635fs they will still shake your combine a little. Some guys did change the pulleys to slow the knife down a little.

It has the updated auger and i did order the smallest pulley possible for it to slow it down a little. Thanks for the advice. My mirror and steps shake so bad wide open that I am not able to use it. If that does not work I may have to try a new wabble box.

My opinion only but I don't think a new wobble box will help. The most important thing other than checking the cutter bar would be to make sure the left hand update is done. Where are you located?
