I am having trouble with the clean grain elevator choking with mud on my 9860's The belt slips and we have broken at least one elevator chain We have fire ant mounds every few feet and they are now pur mud infested with ants which are giving my operators fits. The drive belts slip after the fountain augar gets coted with mud
does any one have suggestions to either stop the mud from getting in or keeping it from clogging clean grain elevator discharge?

I think you can get a elevator chain with metal paddles to scrape the mud off and you can get perforated flaps on the bottom for the mud to fall through. Not sure if it works, could be something to try

We used to have problems with our fountain auger plugging up with mud also until we put in a sheet of poly on the inside edge of the tube. Contact poly Tech industries they offered a kit, but I noticed that they don't have it on their website anymore but I think they can still get you one.
