Have a 9870sts combine with a start up code in the prodrive system
ptp 520951.07. Code comes up 3 seconds after startup propulsion disabled due to this code. Code discribes "pump commanded forward but output not as expected". We have replaced the ptp controller and result was good for the day. Sometimes the unit can be started and stopped once and the unit is ok, somedays 30 plus attempts and code still returns. Calibrations of the intire ptp has been performed. The other thing noticed is the forward response of the hydro will spin the tires when lever pushed from neutral to forward part way. The unit is vary jerky sometimes and not others. Any ideas? Please advise.

For starters after replacing the controller did you calibrate the transmission and hydro? Also go to address PTP 80 and 81 and see if either one is way higher than the other. Spec is 35-40bar at high idle. Does the machine have power rear wheel drive? If so remove the hoses and cap off the fittings leading down to the valve block from the T-in the hydro pressure lines to eliminate a bad drive motor.

Yes after the controller install the unit prompts u to calibrate the addresses ptp 110-115. Yes addresses 80 ans 80 are in spec. Havnt capped off the fwd lines yet this code shouldnt go away though if its that but defenitly worth a try. Wondering if the pump is needing the pump zero postion set?

Had an issue with a 9770 prodrive last week. Upon first start up counld not disengage park brake ( I don't remember the code ) had to shut off and restart several times, and it was a lot more jerkier when moving the handle. Replaced the potentiometer on the handle and recalibrated. Problem fixed, response alot smoother and gained 1.5 mph road speed. Dave

Forgot to mention that a couple of times with hydro in neutral I'd get out of the seat and it displayed "drive disabled, operator out of seat". And another time I exited the cab and the back-up beeper was on with hydro in neutral. Sure glad the drive is tied into the seat switch. Dave

Ok jdtech guy do you work for a dealership? Are you using service advisor. If so you will see that the next step is to eliminate the 4wd. Let's eliminate that part and see what happens bi followed through the steps and it points to wiring or pump
