Would a 5000 draper with the adapter fit onto a 9895? It was mounted onto a 8780 previously. I know that might need different mounting blocks but has it been done before?

Mounting blocks are the only difference, most 8780's would of had low blocks. The 9895 probably has tall blocks or lateral tilt, so if you put low blocks on the 9895 the header will fit. Not sure if the parts change the adaptor are still available. I'm assuming the 8780 had a black feeder house, if it's red then no the header won't fit.

Yes, it definitely will fit if you had a black feeder house. I previously had mine on an XP and just had to buy different blocks for the adapter so the high blocks on the 9895 would fit and then the single point plate with a couple different hoses with different fittings for the hydraulics. Also had to use a jumper wire in the electrical plug so the reel will turn. Unfortunately had to figure most of this stuff out by trial and error as not much information available from dealer or Agco. No big surprise there.
