When replacing a clean grain elevator drive chain, just hook the new chain to the old one and pull it around and you won't have to feed it through the frame. Don't know why I shared this today, I just felt like sharing. (I know it's not a major break through)

Thats how I've always done it.

Break the grease zerk off of the tailing auger when you get the combine... and don't grease the slip clutch on the clean grain elevator and you might also go ahead and add washers to the springs to tighen her up a bit...

You may want to add the following to your combine.
There is a "roller" you can install to take the whip out of the chain. This replaces the 2 wood blocks and helps guide the chain back to the tightener. H.
