How long does it take to aerate peas from 18% to dry? Last year I didn't take mine off till they hit 14% but thinking of starting earlier this year. Just curious how long it takes to dry them down with aeration.
Totally depends on your aeration system and relative humidity outside. High humidity, very little drying, 50% humidity reasonable drying time, 10% humidity...dry in no time.
18% moisture about optimum time to combine peas. Way less cracks and/or seed coat damage and still dry enough to do a good job of separation.
They aerate very well providing outside air is conducive to drying.
