We have an AFX rotor on our 2388 and noticed a few of the bars looked pretty worn when we were getting ready to change to wheat concaves. How much wear is too much? When should we replace them?

Also, chrome or non chrome?

What about the Loewen, Kile, Worthington, or other aftermarket bars?

We are 2/3 wheat and also harvest beans and grain sorghum. Wheat threshing fast and efficient is our priority.

Thanks for any help.

IMO if they are 1/2 or more gone I would replace with the chrome bars. I had a set of chrome on a 1480 and it was unbelievable how well they lasted.
