I have a 1999 2388 that is used to combine corn and beans (about 2000 acres total annually) in central Illinois. I am thinking about installing an AFX rotor and new transition cone in it. Does anyone have any thoughts on whether this is a good and/or cost effective idea?

Lots of farmers are using them around here in the PNW and said they are working fantastic. I'll be getting a set after next years harvest for my 98 2388. Less costly then the AFX option with the same effects. 20-30% more through the machine the a standard elephant ear setup.

If you want great feeding and a smooth transition from the feeder to the rotor. I have something for you and it's a lot cheaper than the AFX with simular results. Send me a PM or e-mail me use Razor as subject.
