Has anyone put a air system on a 9250 draper head ? What was the result and was it a carry system? Thanks for the help

Wish we could have the crary air reel put on from the factory. That would be the perfect head. Thought abought putting just the air bar on but don't think it would work in my conditions with tall green steam beans.

This is what we run no complaints , just wish we didn't have the flipover reel hate that thing and the air bar can,t be set quite right with the flipover

In order for the 9250 to actually work it needs an air bar. The cutterbar to reel clearance get too wide when the head is flexing. This head is a flat land head only.

You can change the ends on the reel and convert it to a pickup reel with a track that doesn't flip over.

The fan is belt driven three years on this one .We have run air bars since 1995 always belt driven only replaced one belt trade headers about every 6 years

So you are saying the flex auger heads are also only flat land heads they flex the same

you'd want the air bar vs the reel with the draper headers. can't get the right air flow angle into the heads with the reel. not saying it wouldn't work, just would work better with the bar.

the advantage with the gear box is efficiency. don't remember the hp you loose with the belt, think it was around 10%. not sure which drive is better imo.

We put the AWS system on one to blow in more of the Navy beans that were on the dirt and it will pay for itself quite quickly in that situation
