Has anyone have any advice on which combine does the best in alfalfa seed. Looking between a 9660 walker or a 9660 sts. Any info and input would be great.

Yes stick with the walkers. If you dessicate with Reglone you will have some green stalks and the walkers will handle it better. Invest in a round hole precleaner and you will save a lot more seed and have a much cleaner sample. Also use an air flow chaffer and make sure your concaves are level , not worn and tighten right up. Use at least three rows of filler plates. Any other questions on Alfalfa Seed and conventional deeres fire away I have many years experience with everything from JD 95s to the new European style conventional and all conventionals in between. Best ever was the early John Deere 9500. I could get down under 5 % dockage with acceptable losses . Could never do it since then.
