Just wondering if there are any canola variety's that have been consistently out yielding 5440, 5440 has done so well year in year out for us that I'm sceptical to change acres to any other variety.

Hard to tell. No one really does yield comparisons with a 10 or more year old canola. L130 beat it in a properly run trial with good protocols so most comparisons are against it and newer. And the RR canola's are as good as it so to answer your question, most of them. The newer canola's are all so close, just pick one from the rep you like best.

5440 is consistently the low yielder on our farm . h29 ,h31,scloratina variety(cant remember the number 45s45or something ,v12 and 5995 all yield more than 5440. this is not a fancy trial plot weigh in report . but every f##### quarter that we seed to 5440 will not yield as much as the other varieties .
