Anybody heard any rumors on about the 09 equipment

Hello,
I was just wondering if anyone has seen or heard anything about the new equipment Deere is supposed to be introducing in August...its the 2009 line up.

One of the dealers at our local store told me that deere sold approx 2000 in one day last week whenever the 09 prices came out - supposedly the wait is already past wheat harvest for us in MO.

Today I heard that the machine that was ordered for stock was already sold also.

Thank goodness I can't afford one......

Our local salesman told us the same thing. They ordered a 9870 and got a delivery date of may, the next day they got an email saying that they would no longer be able to get any 9870's for the 09 season. Needless to say they where fairly pissed as they normally sell 20 of the machines and the majority of the combines they sell are the big ones, they aren't going to make a lot of money selling one combine. I am fairly sure not many people around here where thinking about harvest 09, people are just starting to get ready for harvest 08.

go to your local dealer, (any color) he probably got this months or last months Equipment dealer magazine (can't remember which one) it states last year all north american combine makers sold 4500 total combines in the U.S.

deere probably has some special package pricing on the combines. As soon as the special pricing package expires, the dealers will be calling back to say they can order combines for fall '09 delivery.

At least that is what deere did to me on my 8430 this winter.

I have heard something about new Deere combines with more power then the 9870 STS.

The product launch is at Denver this year. I drove by the fields last week and they were setting up for the field demo's out by Byers. The dealers started coming in this week and there are three waves of groups.
