What is the best way to clean out the tubes.
My mix was 67% 46-0-0. 26% AMS or 21%N 24%S and 7% Zinc product or 9 pounds of 36%Zn 17%S. I was shooting for 40 pounds of N, 8 pounds of S and 9 pounds of Zn product.

I had flow issues with the first load so then I added 20 pounds of 0-0-60 on load two. I think the Zn product might have been sitting there for awhile and had collected moisture.

Anyhow, now my distributors and even the 3" delivery hoses are plugging up. What is the best way to clean them out?

2011 CaseIH 2230 cart to a 40" drill. Single shoot.

I wouldn't want to touch that one. I heard a story of some dry micro package being used. The company was kind enough to replace hoses and roller bearings from it plugging everything in very wet conditions. Ouch.....

Run some floor dry through the system. Like the previous poster said, some blends will react with each other. Your supplier should understand that but maybe he doesn't. I'm not saying that is the problem - in fact its pretty unlikely - but it does happen. Years ago I walked into a fertilizer shed where they were storing urea in one end and ammonium nitrate in the other end. The water was literally running out the door but when I said something the operator just claimed it had been raining a lot. For those of you who don't know, if you mix urea and nitrate you end up with UAN.
