What are your choices for bin extensions on a 2388?? I've seen some that are more square looking and they have two windows per side. they look pretty big too. Anyone know what brand those are?? the link below shows a good shot of the one I'm referring to.

That almost looks like a homemade extension....never seen one with all the windows. I run a 2188 and this year I put a new Mauer extension on it. Like the looks and they seem to be the brand of choice around here. Will put it to use in 4 weeks for wheat harvest.

thanks doorknob you hit the nail on the head. they looked a little too good to be homemade. Wow I wonder if people have problems with their final drives and axles after adding that much capacity to them??

Well, I certainly cant say if any problems have occurred directly from using such a huge hopper, I do know that unfortunatly Dick's welding has been the brunt of some not so proffessional discussion on some of the forum boards.

Personally, I just bought a Maurer standard extension last year so I could put a Michels topper on it. I only use it for grass seed which is very, very light weight. Even with the maurer I can only get about 4.5 ton in the hopper. If Michels had a topper for the Dick's welding extention, I would'nt mind having one.
Here's a link to some pics of my machine fwiw.

The guy at the dealer e-mailed me back and said it's a windom tank extension. I cannot find a website anybody have any info?? It looks a lot like a Dick's welding ext. A spitting image.
