Does anyone have experience with the Bison all-crop rotor in good winter wheat? We cut clear to the ground and drop the straw in windrows and then bale the straw up. Can a Bison handle all that straw and get the wheat out if it is 130 bu wheat? I'd like to try one but I've got to convince my dad to get on board with me. Any responses would be appreciated.

I've seen one go in wheat and heard of it going in canola and flax.

It was in a Massey 9790 and although they never ran the bison vs the ATR rotor head to head, the verdict was the the bison rotor has similar capacity as a properly set up ATR rotor, but throwing grain out the rotor was sometimes a problem, which it never was with the ATR rotor.

The farmer is putting the ATR rotor back in next year.
