I have the problem of breaking the bolts of that hold the disk blade onto our Allis 4 bottom plow which is 3 point mounted. We have replaced them with new bolts every time. What type of bolt would you recommend as far as strength goes? This problem happens about twice each season and is a big pain but not expensive or hard to fix. Even had the neighbor use it on his tractor and same thing happened. Any suggestions would be great.

The bolts that go through the hub, or the bolts that bolt the shank to the frame?


Is the coulter adjusted too deep or plowing too deep?

The bolts that go through the hub. The dealer set it up and it doesn't happen on our land hitch oddly enough, even in the same fields.

Sounds really strange. Correct size bolts? Holes in good shape, not egged out or anything? Coulter set up correctly (I know the dealer did it, still) such as too deep, too close to the moldboard (catching while flexing). Seriously, I don't know, very weird.
