Hi guys I have a case 580sn and when I go to raise the boom it always drops 1/4 inch first.its real annoying.Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might cause this.There is only 2000 hours on this backhoe thanks in advance

Could it be slop in the pin or bushing? When the ram extends it moves on the pin/bushing causing it to drop first and then it comes tight and goes up.

No actually the pins are tight.So when the dipper is out a ways like say 8 ft out and the bucket is suspended an inch off the ground so all the weight is on hydraulics then when I go to lift the boom ( so I'm pulling on the lever) the boom drop a 1/4inch before it lifts. Its really dangerous when trying to not hit but get close to a tile or gas line it never used to do this frustrating
