Was looking at the new borgault sps360 looks interesting wondering if anyone has tried them. Looking at a 40 foot wondering how many hp needed to pull one.

Same here, had the 40ft with 4000gals of nh3 on behind and you couldn’t throw enough power at it.
Replaced it with a 70ft 7500 and can pull it at 7mph and 50 acres/hr+

Excuse my ignorance but who makes the 7500? Only 7500 model that comes to mind is a Landoll but certainly don’t make 70 footers.

Assuming you meant 9500 Bourgault. What did they change on the 9500 compared to 9400 it replaced? Thanks

Oooof yeah 9500. I don’t know if there’s much different. They came out and upgraded the front caster frames and something else that I forget.

Definitely glad we didn’t go with a 8910 and 450lb trips. We have the 600lb trips and the first season it was dry and hard and they were just vibrating.

Cool thanks. Looking for cultivator/chisel plow myself. Would like a bourgault or flexicoil 820 (not sure what CNH model is now). Like the narrower centre frame on the bourgault I think.

The 9500 has a floating hitch, I may be wrong but I don’t think the 9400 had a floating hitch.
That would be a huge improvement for product application.

A 9500 folds way narrower then a 8910 or 9400 and is built like a tank and rated to pull big tanks behind and put 600-700hp on the front. 9500 looks like it’s built to last a 100yrs and is ready for the first 800hp tractor

The 9400 had a floating hitch as well.

Our NH3 supplier has a 820 we pull as a second nh3 rig and is a solid unit as well and does contour better than the 9500. I wouldn’t be afraid of one and they can be picked up fairly reasonable.

Another thing that is nice about the 9500 is the spacing between the front and back tires on the mid-frame for transport. we currently run a 9400 and all of the weight is on the back tires because they are so far forward (all the weight on 4 tires). The 9500 upgraded that which is waaaay nicer. also, our 9400 is fairly wide on the road.

Have run a 40' SPS in the fall with a 7950 tank banding fertilizer. used a 485 quad and running at 6.3mph at 95% engine load. Had 3" tips and going 2-3/4" to 3" deep. Had the 600 quad on it and it was at 90% load pulling an 6.9mph. I really liked the job it did. But I know different soils /conditions are different for everyone. One other thing about the 9400 and 9500 bourgault chisels is that the 9400 was only up to 60'...9500 can go to 70' wide
