We had 6 new planters fire up this winter plant on 9" & 10" spacing's, have attached a you tube link to one of the machines sowing back into potato country in southern NSW. The press wheels on this one were put across the rear to really open up the frame, the other machines were all fitted with in frame press wheels attached to each individual row unit.

Depth control is done by our front coulter drum wheel which means planting depth is not affected by the press wheel picking up mud in wet conditions, the front coulter is driven by the drum wheels so it works in the stickiest of conditions.

So we have a few different options for the second boot....it can be in line with a closing tool or off to the side with a narrow point.

I'm not 100% sure but would assume all row units were set the same it was the last couple of runs to be planted. They had also previously planted with a 40ft machine.

We don't really have a price per metre as it comes back to the number of row units required. 8 Metres is the minimum size in a Bridge frame design that we do....set up on 10" spacing prices start at $166,000.00 + G

The planter was a custom built 4 bar machine that had to bolt together to come in under the police escort width for delivery. Tyres on that frame were 23.1 x 26.
Yep we will be at Ag Quip with a 12 Metre Frame and 12000ltr Cart + our range of planting row units.
