Just purchased a NH SP200 with a 16' disc head. will cut alfalfa, oats, and sorghum for myself and pick up a few acres on the side time permitting. Any advice on what works for you when running a machine like this would be greatly appreciated. Also where is a good place to hook up a chain when I get stuck? again... Any of you weld a bracket on the machine? Thanks in advance for the help!

in light crops always slow cutter bar and increase ground speed, I've seen it the other way so many times.

If you don't have auto steer already I would get it.

an aggressive pitch angle can give a very clean finish and let you put a lot of material through in a hurry at the same time. this is also a ******* way to level gopher holes and dull knives simultaneously, so not the solution for every field
