Ok this has me completely baffled and is driving me nuts.
5350 air cart with 591 monitor was seeding just fine the other day, all of a sudden the shaft rates (lbs/ac) and the acre counter started cutting in and out, and eventually stayed off. Everything else works, shaft RPM, MPH, etc.
I have gone through all the plugs and wiring, everything is good. Next I checked the fan speed sensors for any shorts, none. I then checked all the other sensors, nothing wrong. I relearned the sensors and completely reset the monitor, didn’t help.
After all of this I figured the monitor was buggered. I’ve talked to several technicians they all thought the same. I switched out the 591 for a 491 monitor and am still having the same issue. The 491 let me calibrate, but showed no shaft rate as well when I went to seed.
What am I missing ? Please help if you have any ideas.

Is the shaft(s) actually spinning though? Do you get the Zero Speed error (that one is at the clutch). Can you drive slow and let somebody watch to see the chains moving? There is a shear bolt that may have failed in the system.

Yep all shafts turn. I can watch each shaft rpm on monitor but no shaft rate and no acre count. It’s really odd because the monitor has all the info coming to it that it need to calculate the rate and the clutch engages to read rpm but no rate. It beeps at me because it thinks I’m not moving, yet it tells me how fast I’m going and how fast each shaft turns.

Do you have the shafts enabled for counting acres/rate? I can't recall off the top off my head what it's called but hit settings twice, select shaft one, area counting (might be called something else. It will be obvious),select yes, save. Continue for all other shafts. If this is enabled then you got something funny going on.
This would e on 491 monitor. I'm unfamiliar with 591
