Before this fall I need to replace my bubble up auger on my 1680. Any ideas? I noticed that the flighting has been cut off once and been replaced. The top tube is also thin. I guess my question is has anyone bolted on the uhmw wearshoes in shoup?
When you replace the auger would it be a good idea to balance it to keep the vibration down or is it not needed? Thanks for any help.

As for the tube, last year I fitted a piece of cotton gin pipe inside mine and welded it. Still plenty of clearance between auger and tube. Since the tube is thin, the welding caused the tube to warp slightly making it difficult to line up all the bolts. I have also done this for the clean grain auger trough. Also, check the rear hangar for the auger. It's probably shot too.
