I would like to know the best way to remove the pivot bushings on the tandem wheels (Part Nos 3498) of an 820 Flexicoil Bar. I have tried various means of extraction including hydraulic pullers to push them out and have had to resort to cutting them out with gas. This is very difficult to do without causing damage to the housing. Am I missing something?

Bugger of a job no matter which way you go about it we did ours with a die grinder buy grinding one side if the bush, was a little time cosuming but less damage to the housing. Note the die in the grinder needs to be a good quality one.
Good luck

If the bushing can be pushed out take a wire welder and weld a bead length wise inside the bushing. Use a good amount of heat but don't burn through. Welding will cause the bushing to shrink just enough for it to be pounded out.
