White caps, will be your struggle. What concaves are you using ?

We run deep tooth in out 9770 with Lowen Helical Bar in the first position and Narrow Wire in the 2nd and 3rd with out any trouble. Never had a problem at the elevator getting docked.

We ran deep a deep tooth for several years before switching and while it did make a difference, it wasnt as much of one as I thought it would be. If you dont have a lot to run, I wouldnt change it.
