Looked at all the drills and tanks. 100 footer not big enough for me so gonna wait until they come out with something decent.:)
Cant really get prices at a show like that so hard to compare. Kind of tired of the BG augers for metering. Probably like hawk best if the thing would work how it is supposed to. The icon monitor seems ahead of topcon and raven but is that true? Interesting seeing the master engineers studying the hawk

The hawk rep was very honest and said they have lots of bugs now. They have stalled production until they can figure out some things.

Even for the smallest seedhawk the company recommends a min of 60 gal/min of oil and the rep said 70 preferred. Its a small percentage of (older)tractors have that and I think its bad engineering. Run at least one circuit off the ground or whatever.

At least pillar uses springs. Conservapak used to but I see they have hyd on each opener now too. Sort of like JD sprayer suspension. The air ride works well but the caseih springs give equal ride with simply a coil spring.

Ah yeah should have clarified, they sure are making the flexicoil name more prominent in the advertising however.
Flexi-Coil went into the new century with a lot of deserved good will and much of that was eroded by CNH in subsequent years.

I get the feeling "Flexi-Coil" may be on the comeback trail, obviously CHN thinks name recognition is still there and maybe they will become a force again.
Never know.

was just wondering if there was something on the show, charcoal painted, I would walk by bg anyway.

so fc is your top choice? Salford would be good too if you use liquid and dry together. The rep said they made sct but found that cnh had a patent on it so they scrapped it.:22:

The pillar looks great. Have you had a crop with yours yet?

Got a price Friday on the new 580 tow between tank with 70 foot drill.. O my they are going with BG pricing.. Tank over 300k alone
Ouch. Its disturbing that in a world where components are supplied by the lowest bider, that prices end up raising so much. I thought the idea of using cheeper parts was to keep the price down, but apparently its to extort even more out of the consumer.

Yep, and when they graduate from that school they can start pricing fuel and the cream of the crop from that class goes to the pinnacle of extortionists, fertilizer manufacturers!
