Looking for storage building for the farm, one for pallets and another for camper. leaning towards canvas
Tell me the good and bad about the canvas.
Any companies you recommend or stay away from?
I'm located in northern Saskatchewan

Harnois is awesome, based out of Quebec, so Canadian peso shouldn't factor in too badly. They have fantastic double truss rafters and very thorough cross bracing and tensioning adjustments. And their fabric can handle the tension, so flapping isn't going to let it start ripping, which I suspect can be a big factor in damage situations.

Close it up fairly tight, but let it ventilate at the same time (I know, sounds effortless) and you can do quite well.

Or are you looking for temporary garage type, small footprint type structures? We have something in the range of 60x120, but it's technically on the highway right of way so it can't be "permanent", and this was a fantastic high quality fit for our needs.....

When I was pricing large buildings, pole shed was cheapest, then canvas, then steel.

Quality canvas buildings are not really cheap. Cheap canvas buildings are junk you definitely don’t want a cheap one.
I’ve seen several canvas buildings crushed from snow load the last few years. But our neighbors have a quality one out in the open windy area and it’s over 20 years old now with from what I see little to no maintenance. Facing north south and the wind mostly keeps the snow load off.

I really like the canvas buildings as cold storage because they let the light in so you don’t need power.

Thanks guys for the input, my buildings are not gonna be big, 1200 square foot approx each one, placed in yard where it's got shelter from wind. These are going up cause they're quick and can be done before the white stuff comes. Buildings are shaped like regular building with walls and roof line, and double truss. Hoping that'll eliminate any snow load on them.
As for them being temporary or permanent? If the canvas goes to ****, guess there temperary! But I'll call them permanent till then.

If you bought it at a Ritchie Bros sale it is cheap, that is a really good start to your search.

I don’t know what my neighbors building is but the ones that have collapsed were bought at UFA and at auctions they are the cheap ones. Don’t know the brand names of them either.

The 130 km winds last fall finished off a lot of cavas buildings. Some of the double trusses were bending and caving in due to wind load.
