The Case 2020 and 74c I believe are the same head. Will the 2020 electrics work on the CR combine? I was told that maybe the sensors need to be changed. Is there anything else that needs changing?
I have just gone through a similar learning curve for a 2011 CIH 2152 (Macdon D60) fitted to a CR8090. It was used before on a CIH combine. The error message was Shorted Right header height sensor (reads .1 V and expects it to be up to 4.5 Volts or so. I talked to a Macdon representative and he told me I need to change the potentiometer and part of wiring harness to make it compatible to the CNH. I have ordered a D2448 kit through dealer from Westward parts. Hopefully after installing it, I will have a HHC that works and this error message will disappear and allow it function correctly. There seems to be some confusion in the user and dealer circles suggesting that everything is compatible in the newer machines and it is not! The potentiometer for the CNH requires a split as these machines look for 2 sensors while the CIH looks for only one. I had avoided the error message by declaring in my setup screen a "80/90" so that the error message didn't show up. But there are no faulty sensors, just need the right harness! The Case 2020 and 74c I believe are the same head. Will the 2020 electrics work on the CR combine?
