My arms are controlled by a 3 position switch UP ,MID, DOWN and that switch in the cab is fed by a wire wound resistor.

The hydraulic pump seems to be down near the arms.
Mine used to work but now it doesn't as inside the cab got wet.
Putting 6 Volts direct on the pump contacts does not start it running and even touching 12 Volts does not get a response.

Can anyone tell me how these work and what I should be looking for to get it going? I'm assuming I will have to pull the pump down . Checked power in and all that ,fuses etc. It could also just be an actuating solenoid I;m looking at there?

I cant find a manual or drawing or even a circuit diagram on the 4690 so I'm flying blind.

Maybe try just pushing down the arms with a backhoe bucket or something equivalent, that’s how we always had to do it to get them to move on our 4690 when we had it. Once you had a load on them it worked fine

Thanks . Was that with the switch activated too or just weight on the arm forced the fluid out?
Do you know what the switch is supposed to do?

My arms are fully down now.
