Anyone found anything better then the factory ratchet lever for the concave adjustment? Mine has always been very hard to flip the direction lever on, works better for a little while if you blow it out and lube it up good, but it never works decent for very long. A new one is $143.00, which I would consider it if I knew it was going to be a big improvement.

I know the later machines had an electric motor for adjustment, but I don't want to go through that much work and expense.

Thanks!

I would try some dry graphite paint after cleaning also paint the screw threads inside the combine and the thrust washers make it smooth as glass !

Maybe it's a dumb idea but I used to think it would have been better if they had a nut on the end of that shaft and you could use a socket and a ratchet, or just a wrench. Of course then you would need to have that with you all the time.
