I have a case ih 2144 and am wanting to put a water filter on it. Has anyone ever done this? Thanks in advance.

I have a 2366, and I'm not sure if they are the same, but I replaced my filter last year. Mine has these cheesey plastic shut off valves at the filter, and a technician told me not to bother trying to use these valves as they break easily. He told me to just change the filter as quickly as possible to minimize coolant leaking while changing the filter.

Would you easily be able to put a line filter somewhere in the system? On a return line somewhere. I know my 8850 855 has a coolant filter and they are only minor filters. Do help a little.

Do you mean a water separator for the fuel system or a Coolant filter/conditioner?

A water coolant filter. It does not seem to have one and I really think it needs one! I figured you would just put a filter on the line somewhere but did not know how it would be done if it was factory.
